The Onkyo TX- SR 705 is a new receiver that has been launched to support the new HDMI 1.3a standard and the 1080p format. It comes with a 7.1 channel receiver of 100 W along with an analog to video conversion capability. It also is capable of deep color compatibility. It is available in silver and black color only. There were a few earlier models in gold but this time it hasn’t been launched.

The standard features of the set up box are, 7.1 channel receiver; 100 W / channel, 3 x HDMI 1.3a inputs, Faroudja DCDi up-conversion from Analog sources to HDMI, component video up-conversion and video switching (3 in 1 out), Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby HD and DTS-HD decoding, THX Select2 Certification, Bi-amp capability.
According to users the Onkyo runs very well but not in an enclosed cabinet and it has to be kept out. It has more features than the TS-SR 605 like a host of connectors that lets you add any kind of audio and video component, the RI system control and 12V trigger abilities are all added bonus.

Power
The receiver is capable of producing an excellent sound quality through each of its 7 channels which lets you have a theater at home experience. Since it is HDTV capable it can really give you that true home theater experience mixing image with sound production.
All this is possible through its DSP chips that let the audio signals be received loud and clear. And also thanks to the digital Dolby plus decoding which produces accurate sound along with quality sound.

Reception
All you need to do is connect all the components to the central receiver which is easy than doing unplugging each component form the TV and then connecting it again. What really matters is the unison pf these components and the reception quality which is the actual conglomeration that helps produce quality sound.
